Durante la temporada invernal de noviembre a marzo te invitamos a formar parte en esta excitante aventura, explorarás las aguas de la Bahía de Banderas a bordo de la embarcación donde los biólogos de Explora Vallarta te guiaran en el hábitat natural de estos misteriosos cetáceos.

Whale Watching will surely be one of the greatest and most rewarding experiences of your life shared with us. In winter, November through March, we invite you to be part of this exciting adventure. You will explore Banderas Bay Sea on board of a boat where Explora Vallarta’s biologists will guide you around the natural habitat of these magnificent cetaceans – (Megaptera novaeangliae).

Descubrirás los diferentes comportamientos de la ballena jorobada, los cuales van desde los saltos, coletazos, madres con sus juguetonas crías, grupos de machos cortejando a las hembras, y entre otras cosas escucharas los enigmáticos cantos; nuestros guías te explicaran cada uno de estos interesantes aspectos sobre su biología, rituales de apareamiento, migración, alimentación, crianza, etc. Además de observar a estos amistosos gigantes es muy posible ver tortugas marinas, delfines, orcas, aves marinas y amistosas mantarrayas gigantes.

You will discover the different behaviors of these beautiful animals, including jumps and fin movements. You will also see mothers playing with their calves, and be able to listen to these animals’ enigmatic chants. Our biologists will explain to you each one of these interesting aspects about their biology, migration, and feeding, flirting and breeding behaviors. While you enjoy this activity it is really possible to see turtles, dolphins, orcas, marine birds and friendly giant stingrays.

A los primeros en trasmitir nuestros conocimientos, aventuras y experiencias fue a familiares y amigos; por lo que al verlos disfrutar y aprender de estos valores nos dimos cuenta que lo que hacíamos no tenía que quedar solo ahí.

Explora Vallarta is a project that has been in our minds through the years. Little by little, this project has come true basically thanks to all those wonderful experiences and knowledge brought by our professional interest in the natural sciences field. The first years of sharing our knowledge, adventures and experiences with our families and friends made us realize how important it was to keep on working and not to stop just there.

That was the way how we decided to start sharing our knowledge with you, making you live great experiences surrounded by nature and providing you, at the same time, with that magic science touch that helps us preserve and enjoy, in a responsible way, our area’s biodiversity and natural resources.

Desde el año 2000 hemos tenido la dicha de estar involucrados en proyectos de investigación y conservación de mamíferos marinos (ballenas, delfines) de la Bahía de Banderas, guacamayas, manglares, peces de arrecifes, tortugas marinas; etc. Hasta la actualidad nos seguimos esforzando por ampliar el conocimiento de las áreas de investigación y conservación de los distintos recursos naturales de Puerto Vallarta y la Bahía de Banderas, es por eso que este maravilloso lugar tiene un gran potencial para realizar actividades de ecoturismo los cuales van dirigidos para el turismo nacional e internacional.

It was in 2000 when we started being involved in research and conservation projects related to marine mammals (dolphins and whales), macaws, mangrove, fish reefs and marine turtles, for instance. Nowadays, we keep on working with the purpose of increasing our knowledge about research and conservation of all natural resources in Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay. We ought to mention that because of their biodiversity existence and location, these places have a great potential to do lots of ecotourism activities focused on pleasing both, national and international tourism.
